Look out next spring for patches of brightly coloured crocuses and daffodils around Charlton Park next year thanks to the Friends of Charlton Park bulb planting team.
Thanks to Carl, who single handedly planted the shrub beds near the Big Red Bus Club and to the bigger team who spent the morning planting outside the Riding School for the Disabled and the shrub beds outside Charlton School.
Our youthful team of greenfingered skateboarders, many of whom attend Fossdene Primary School, joined up with more seasoned Charlton Friends to get covered in mud.
Isaac, aged 10 said,
”it was great to meet up with friends in the park and we also learnt to do a bit of gardening”.
