Glenn & Leon Tilbrook headlined Charlton Great Get Together

From toddler raves to the tug o’ war, this years Great Charlton Get Together (funded by Royal Borough Of Greenwich, as part of Parksfest) had everything. Bands from the Baby Blues Choir to Charlton’s favourite rockabilly band and the excellent quintet Central Vibe we’re hand to make locals feel like dancing. Even Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze fame made an appearance as he lives nearby, with his talented son Leon.

While the stage was rocking, the Greenwich Cake Club was holding the quitter and far more sedate Great Charlton Cake Off, this year cakes were nature themed and the youngest winner 6 year old Ethan Masand stole the show and the audiences hearts collecting his prize from BBC journalist and Charlton resident Chris Mason.
